Hi guys! How are you? What about a quick introduction of you and you as members of the band?
Hi there! We are Charlie, Josh and James and currently live and work in London.
In 2012 you got featured as band of the day from the guardian right? How did you feel about that?
That’s right. It felt great! It’s definitely one of those accolades any new band would want to get. For us I think it came a little too early though, we hadn’t properly got our shit together bar a couple of demos online and it’s been a long journey from then to now. Would be more beneficial to us if it happened now i think!
I really like your new single ‚’Kanute’s Comin‘ Round’. It sounds so tropical and special. Could you tell us more about it?
This is the second single from our debut album and it’s kind of reinforcing the idea we started with „Lekka Freakout“ (the first single). A rambunctious pocket of jump up pop smothered in a rich marinade.
Are there any plans of releasing an album in new future?
Out debut album ‚Mixed Blessings‘ is due out in May!
How would you describe your sound in a few words?
Dub-psych-soulpop
You posted a meditation mix on your Soundcloud account few months ago. Was that more like a fun thing, or could you imagine realizing a real meditation LP?
Haha absolutely. That was originally an idea James had to accompany the single ’seafood‘ we released last year. That single was quite intense and the theory behind it was that the meditation mix would bring he listener back down and return their buzzing brain to normality. I still listen to it to fall asleep most nights.
We all know that many different cultures are living together in a city like London. Does this have any impact on your music?
Hmm not sure. I think the ethnic diversity of London is incredible, but I don’t see it as a direct influence on our music.

Let’s get less serious! What is the funniest thing to happen to you at one of your gigs?
Once this random guy just came on stage half way through the show and started MC’ing over the top of our music. Was pretty presumptuous of him.
